Hope everyone is having a good week.  We have a lot going on this week and I have a lot to update y’all on.

First, I want to thank everyone that came out to help with the cleanup/work day.  We got a lot done including hanging a new gate, weed eating, mowing and creating signs.  Everything should be in great shape to have our upcoming events.

We want to let everyone know that the Segundos and the Point Riders have an open door meeting every Sunday morning at 8:30am.  Anyone interested in knowing more about what is going on and any decisions we are making are welcome to come set in.

This weekend is going to be a busy one.  This Saturday is our annual Easter Eggstravaganza.  The fun starts at 11AM but we need all volunteers to come help setup starting around 9AM.  We need a lot of help to make this a success so if your willing to volunteer come help setup and we will find a place for you to help during the event.  The arena has been pretty wet but we were hoping it would dry up before Saturday evening.  Unfortunately we are going to have to postpone our Eggstravaganza Jackpot till April 22nd starting at 5pm.  Please continue to check the website and Facebook for updates.  Sunday we will have two services, a Sunrise service that will start at 6:45AM and our regular service at 10AM.

Next I want to update everyone on a few upcoming events.  On May 13th we are planning on having a Skeet Shoot along with a Shot Gun Raffle, more details to come.  On May 20th there will be a horse clinic featuring Angie Hughes.  There is a maximum of 12 horse/rider spots open for the clinic which costs $50. There is no fee if you want to just watch the clinic. For more information and to register for the clinic please check out our website and click on the events box.  Additionally LSCC has sponsored the Community Braves Band Car Show on April 29th from 10AM-2PM.  Two plaques featuring the LSCC name and logo will be presented to the winners of the show along with our logo on a t-shirt for the event.  This is a great way to help support our community so if you are interested in participating check out their Facebook Page for more information: CHS Braves Band Booster

Out of respect for any prospective preachers we will not be including their name in these letters.  They may not want their congregation knowing that they are looking at other churches and we don’t want to put them on the spot for anything.  If you want more information on any of the preachers we have talked to please come talk to me or one of the other Segundos.  Last Thursday we met with a prospective preacher out of Missouri.  We enjoyed our time with him and have invited him to come preach on Wednesday night April 19th at 7pm followed by a question and answer session.  Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.  We also have a local guy who has preached at a local Baptist church express interest but we have not had a chance to talk to him in person to find out more information.  Another prospect currently preaches at a cowboy church in New Mexico and is interested in moving back to Texas.  We plan on having him come visit on a Wednesday night as well.  We will continue to update everyone as we have new information.

Thanks for for being patient as we work through the process of finding a preacher.  We are all learning and will continue to improve our communication with all of you as time goes on.  As always if you ever have any questions please ask any of the Point Riders or Segundos.

Take Care and God Bless,
Whit Wilson
